“This institute was established as a result of my long-lived dream, which is to help different groups of the society – entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, civil servants and politicians – to understand that we are sailing in the same ship, which is called the Republic of Lithuania.  The first thing we have to do is to understand our role and to think about who we are. The second goal we should try to achieve is finding a place where we can realize ourselves, help each other and feel happy. Nevertheless, above all of this we have to agree on mutual goal and hold on to commitments that we have made. Lithuania has declared its independence twenty years ago. Have we taken the responsibility for the freedom that we have? Because freedom is responsibility.”
