In July 15 – 21 the representative of Future society institute Migle Paskeviciute together with three young and initiative Lithuanians participated in the first stage of international Project „Bridge it!“. A creative camp in Pelci (Latvia) was organized, where the greatest attention was paid to the discussions about national identity, meaning of culture, political, social relations of neighbouring countries.
An intensive training session was carried out in the form of discussions, theatrical simulations and creative installations with the goal of analysing relevant topics of today. M. Paskeviciute made a presentation about the institute and its main activities as well as introduced participants with good practice examples in Lithuania.
In the second part of the Project in September participants will discuss their individual ideas and will prepare their individual non-profit projects to be implemented in their home countries. Social projects will contribute to the reduction of discrimination, cultural differences or other relevant social problems prevailing in the Baltic States and Russian Federation.
Future society institute is an official partner of international Project „Bridge it!” in Lithuania. Project is organized together with Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg (Germany), German-Russian-Exchange (Russian Federation), ORBITA (Latvia) ir HeadEst (Estonia). The desired result of the Project refers to implementation of individual social projects that contribute to overall well-being and raise awareness about relevant problems of the modern society.
